Start a new career in the healthcare and medical field as a Certified Nurse Assistant by signing up for the CNA Classes provided by Philadelphia Academy for Nurse Aide Training (PANAT). Our convenient locations in West Philadelphia and our soon to be opened branch in North-East Philadelphia are located near major highways with plenty of off-street FREE parking and are both easily accessible to Montgomery County residents.  This program trains the candidates to cater to the needs of patients and to assist them in facing the medical challenges in a supporting and compassionate way. The certification classes will be carried out in the form of lectures, demonstrations, and exposure to actual nursing procedures and techniques in a modern healthcare setting. The students will be given expert training by the experienced faculty in the recording of vital signs, assisting the patients in their daily tasks, managing patients’ health records, and assisting charge and staff nurses. We ensure that our students are well trained with the skills, knowledge, and ability to provide safety and preventive measures in the care of the patients besides learning how to function as a member of the health care team. The CNA certification program assures that the students are provided with a hands-on environment under the supervision and guidance of professionally experienced nurses. The students shall receive 69 hours theory, 26 hours practical in a fully-fledged lab, CPR training and 40 hours internship in a nursing home.

CNA and CPR Certification

Upon the completion of the course, the candidate shall be eligible to appear for the state-administered Pennsylvania Competency Examination and subsequently be registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health Registry.

There are vast options for career growth after successful completion of this course. It gives the candidate a choice to move deeper into medical assisting, licensed practical nursing or registered nursing. They can also become mentors, supervisors or trainers for other NAs in the area. Though this requires additional training, having the experience of a nurse assistant provides a strong backup in achieving this goal.
