WHY A CNA
Health care is one of the largest and fastest growing fields in the country. It affords employment opportunities to individuals at all levels. One entry level is Nurse Aide.
To work as a nursing assistant in a nursing home, for example, you must complete an approved course of required training, pass a state competency exam and be placed on the state Nurse Aide Registry. Once these steps are taken, you may be referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nurse Aide (NA), Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) or a Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA). In Pennsylvania this position is referred to as a Nurse Aide (NA) or Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)
Prior to enrolling in such a program you must show you have a clear criminal record, by a Pennsylvania State Police or FBI check (if you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania for the last two years), are healthy and have no communicable disease such as tuberculosis etc.
CNA’s provide necessary and vital care and improve quality of life to dependent individuals — individuals needing such care due to illness, age or accident. By helping and interacting with patients, CNA’s become critical members of patient care teams specifically and the medical profession generally. Occasionally they may be called upon to administer life saving procedures such as CPR or AED
You can become a CNA and start earning more in just a few weeks. In addition, Pennsylvania Nursing Homes reimburse newly certified CNA’s their full tuition (excluding fees)….SO why wait….Apply now
